Harmony Flow Music Academy Studio Policy
1. Enrolment and Registration:
a. Students must complete the registration process to enrol in classes or lessons.
b. Enrolment is on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
c. A trial lesson or consultation may be offered before enrolment to determine the best fit for the student.
2. Tuition and Payment:
a. Tuition fees are due at the beginning (1st day) of each month or according to the specified billing cycle.
b. Late payments could result in the student losing their time slot.
c. Payments are usually through a direct debit.
d. Payments are for 4 classes only in a month.
3. Lesson Scheduling:
a. Students will have a designated lesson time each week, mutually agreed upon by the student and the academy.
b. Lesson times are subject to availability and may be adjusted with prior notice from the academy.
c. Rescheduling of lessons is allowed with at least 4 business days notice, subject to teacher availability.
d. Students can't reschedule twice within a month.
4. Attendance and Make-up Lessons:
a. Regular attendance is essential for consistent progress in musical education.
b. In case of student absence due to illness or emergency, the academy must be notified as early as possible within the notice period.
c. Make-up lessons may be offered for excused absences, subject to the availability of teachers.
d. Student cannot have more than 1 makeup lesson in a month.
e. Please note that our policy requires advance notice before the billing date if a child will miss a class. We do not offer refunds but can provide a makeup class or roll over the payment to the next month
5. Code of Conduct:
a. All students are expected to treat teachers, staff, fellow students, and the facility with respect and courtesy.
b. Disruptive or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in termination of enrolment.
6. Practice Expectations:
a. Regular practice outside of lesson time is vital for musical growth.
b. Students are encouraged to follow practice recommendations provided by teachers.
7. Instrument and Equipment:
a. Students are responsible for bringing their instruments and required materials to each lesson except if you are learning the piano.
b. Harmony Flow Music Academy may offer instrument rentals or guidance for acquiring appropriate instruments.
8. Parent/Guardian Involvement:
a. Parents or guardians of minor students are encouraged to participate in their musical journey and support their practice routine.
b. Parent-teacher meetings may be scheduled periodically to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
9. Studio Facilities:
a. Students and visitors are expected to maintain cleanliness and respect the property of Harmony Flow Music Academy.
b. Any damage caused by students or visitors will be the responsibility of the parties involved.
10. Safety and Security:
a. Harmony Flow Music Academy will take necessary precautions to ensure the safety and security of all students and staff members.
b. Parents should arrange for the timely pickup and drop-off of their children before and after lessons.
11. Communication:
a. The academy will communicate important updates, events, and reminders through emails, newsletters, or other designated channels.
b. Students and parents are encouraged to communicate any concerns, questions, or feedback with the academy administration.
12. Termination of Enrolment:
a. Harmony Flow Music Academy reserves the right to terminate a student's enrolment due to consistent behavioural issues, non-compliance with policies, or unpaid fees.
b. Students may request to terminate their enrolment by providing written notice to the academy with at least 3 weeks notice.
